Job description
PLEASE NOTE: We're only considering candidates who are already based in the Netherlands. Unfortunately, we can't offer visa sponsorship or help with relocation. Thank you for understanding.
⏰ Hours: 40 hours/week
⚓ Location: Amsterdam (hybrid work)
⭐ Internship allowance: 600 EUR/per month
✈️ Internship duration: 5-6 months
⌛ Starting date: As soon as possible
✈️ About Smart Freight Centre:
Think about the package that just arrived at your doorstep. The products on store shelves, or the goods being shipped across oceans. Logistics is everywhere, powering the world we live in. And because it’s everywhere, it’s also one of the biggest contributors to carbon emissions globally.
That’s where Smart Freight Centre (SFC) steps in. We’re tackling the carbon footprint of logistics head-on, working with businesses, governments, and key players around the globe. Our mission? To transform the logistics sector into a zero-emission industry by 2050, or hopefully even sooner. Want to help drive this change? Join us.
✏️ About the position:
As our Communications Intern, you’ll join a fast-paced, dedicated team and report directly to the Content Manager, playing a key role in developing SFC’s communications and content strategy.
This is a hands-on role: you’ll support the creation of annual social media strategies, help craft compelling content, and bring our stories to life across platforms. If you’re passionate about communication, eager to learn, and excited by the challenge of turning technical topics into engaging narratives, this role is for you.
⭐ Here’s an idea of what tasks you might be working on:
Strategize: Support the Content Manager in researching and shaping yearly content strategies for social media and newsletters.
Create & curate: Assist in creating content for social media, newsletters, and case studies in collaboration with our Fleet Electrification Coalition team and additional program communications. Translate complex, technical information into clear, inspiring storytelling. Help write and populate copy across platforms and campaigns.
Collaborate: Work alongside internal teams and external partners to ensure consistent, impactful messaging. Contribute ideas that push creative boundaries and help us think outside the box.
Engage & manage: Assist in managing our website, updating blog posts, social media, and news.
