Job description
✈️ About Smart Freight Centre:
Think about the package that just arrived at your doorstep; the products on store shelves, or the goods being shipped across oceans. Logistics is everywhere, powering the world we live in. And because it’s everywhere, it’s also one of the biggest contributors to carbon emissions globally.
That’s where Smart Freight Centre (SFC) steps in. We’re tackling the carbon footprint of logistics head-on, working with businesses, governments, and key players around the globe. Our mission? To transform the logistics sector into a zero-emission industry by 2050—or hopefully even sooner. Want to help drive this change? Join us.
✏️ About the position:
SFC is managing a program focused on advancing the rules, design and implementation of robust market-based measures for logistics decarbonization (specifically those, based on voluntary book and claim chain of custody systems). We are looking to drive further convergence of the international standards and the subsequent adoption of high-quality market-based measures in transportation at scale, as well as setting the requirements guardrails for independent third-party assurance. The primary focus of the role is to lead and manage the program across the various work streams, including stakeholder management and facilitation of a variety of diverse, high-profile stakeholder working groups.
The candidate will work closely with the Technical Director, CEO, large multinational companies, representatives from the environmental NGO community as well as the internal teams working on these topics.
