We convene government ministries, regulators, industry leaders, research institutions, and global climate actors to accelerate the transition toward greener freight systems.

✏️ About the position
The Senior Manager, Operations & Executive Enablement plays a key role in strengthening the operational backbone of SFC India.
This role combines operational leadership with executive support and organizational coordination. You will work closely with the Executive Director India and global SFC teams to ensure strong operational systems, effective governance, and disciplined execution across programs.
The role supports the continued growth of SFC India by building robust processes, strengthening financial oversight, and ensuring smooth coordination between teams and external partners in a hybrid set-up.
⭐ Here’s an idea of what tasks you might be working on
- Build the India Operating Engine
- Support the operational management of SFC India, including finance, HR coordination, legal compliance and administration
- Design and implement scalable standard operating procedures (SOPs), operational controls and governance frameworks
- Support budget planning, forecasting and financial monitoring
- Manage vendor relationships and service providers
- Strengthen operational systems and processes as the organisation grows
- Ensure operational readiness for audits and compliance reviews
- You will support the Executive Director in maintaining operational oversight and execution discipline across teams.
- Support coordination of executive priorities and strategic planning
- Prepare briefing materials, presentations and decision memos
- Track organisational KPIs, priorities and follow-up actions
- Ensure clear documentation and organisational record keeping
- Support coordination between India operations and global SFC leadership
- Support oversight of accounts payable/receivable, banking coordination and financial reconciliation
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including GST, TDS/TCS, and income tax filings
- Coordinate with auditors, consultants and regulatory authorities
- Strengthen internal financial controls and risk management processes
- Support accurate financial reporting and budget tracking
- Support the operational delivery of workshops, industry roundtables and stakeholder events
- Coordinate vendors and logistics for program activities
- Ensure smooth execution and strong partner experience during convenings and meetings
- Support the development of a high-performing and accountable team culture
- Help establish KPIs, reporting structures and operational rhythms
- Contribute to strengthening organisational processes and team coordination What We’re Looking For
- 7–10 years of experience in operations, finance, program management, or institutional management
- Strong understanding of GST, taxation, statutory compliance and financial processes
- Experience building systems and operational processes from the ground up
- Experience supporting senior leadership or executive teams
- Experience working in NGOs, sustainability, policy, or international organizations is an advantage
- Highly organized with strong execution discipline
- Comfortable operating in dynamic and evolving environments
- Strong judgment and attention to detail
- Able to balance operational detail with strategic awareness
- Experienced in building systems and improving processes
- Comfortable working independently while coordinating across teams
